Silage Feed Pellet Machine
Why Use a Silage Feed Pellet Mill?
Raw silage is expensive to transport, difficult to store, and prone to waste. A silage feed pellet machine can solve these problems. It processes various types of forage and grains into standardized feed pellets, enabling standardized feeding. At the same time, it solves feed storage issues and effectively reduces costs. Click the video below to see how this equipment performs in an actual project.
Advanced Production Capacity
The pelletizers feature dual pressure rollers and an innovative ring die design. This pelletizing system significantly improves the formation rate and structural density of silage. To meet energy-saving needs, they effectively reduce energy consumption per unit by 20%.
Conventional silage pellets typically range in diameter between 3-10 mm, while our equipment can produce pellets ranging from 2-12 mm. These varying pellet sizes adapt to the feeding habits of poultry, cattle, sheep, and other livestock, while also meeting their nutritional requirements.

Silage Maker Machine Type Selection
We offer two models: silage grass pellet mill and silage feed pellet machine. They are designed for different raw material formulations. For applications requiring a higher degree of conditioning, we offer a two-stage conditioner configuration. You may select the model that best suits your needs, or contact us at any time for equipment recommendations.

High Forage Content
The equipment has a production capacity of 0.5–8.0 T/H, with pellet diameters ranging from 4–12 mm. It features anti-arching feed mechanisms, making it suitable for feed formulations primarily based on forage. Particularly effective for pre-treated silage with a low degree of fermentation.

Conventional Silage Formulation
This is the most common model, offering a wider production capacity range suitable for output requirements of 1–40 T/H. Pellet sizes range from 2–12 mm. It is highly adaptable and accommodates fermented silage, mixed forage silage, and other complex pelleting formulations.

High Maturity Requirements
It adds an additional conditioning stage to the standard configuration, providing superior maturation and conditioning results. For highly resilient raw materials that are difficult to pelletize, it thoroughly softens them to improve pellet formation. Consequently, it offers greater production stability.

Technical Advantages of Silage pellet Making Machine
We have specifically designed our equipment to accommodate the high-fiber and high-moisture characteristics of silage raw materials, making it resistant to clogging. During continuous operation, our machines maintain a consistently high formation rate and low energy consumption. The following illustrates the structural design of a standard silage feed pellet machine.

Pelletizing Chamber Structure

ring die
The ring die of each pellet mill is made of a highly wear-resistant alloy. Its holes are scientifically designed to achieve higher output per unit. Combined with a clamp-style installation design, this makes component maintenance and replacement more convenient.
Double rollers
Our pellet mills feature a unique twin-roll structure that provides stronger compression, thereby ensuring a high formation rate for silage. The roll shells are also made of alloy material for enhanced wear resistance.

conditioner
It is key to promoting silage maturation. It accelerates the maturation of silage and grains through a high-temperature steam environment. This ensures the feed is clean and hygienic while improving its digestibility rate.

Feed Inlet
A variable-frequency motor is installed here to control the feeding speed, ensuring a smooth feed flow. The feed inlet for the grass pellet mill is also equipped with a de-arching device.

Cutting Device
The silage feed pellet making machine is equipped with two sets of cutting blades and adjustment handles. You can adjust the distance between the cutting blades and the ring die to control the length of the silage pellets.

Common Raw Materials for Silage Production
This silage feed pellet machine can process a variety of silage raw materials, including both single-ingredient and blended types. In actual production, ingredients such as corn meal, soybean meal, and vitamin premixes are often blended together. If your raw materials cannot be pelletized directly, we can provide equipment such as crushers and dryers.

–
What raw materials can a silage feed pellet machine process?
This equipment can be used to process various silage materials, forage, and mixed feed. In addition to common silage types such as corn silage, alfalfa silage, forage silage, and straw silage, it can also accommodate mixed feed formulations. For example, energy-rich ingredients such as corn meal, soybean meal, and wheat bran, as well as functional ingredients like vitamins and minerals, can be added to the raw materials.
Through thorough conditioning and efficient pelleting by this equipment, these ingredients can be easily transformed into nutritionally balanced, compact, and palatable silage feed pellets. These pellets meet the feeding needs of dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, horses, and other animals.
–
Can highly moist silage be pelletized directly?
Raw materials with excessively high moisture content not only result in low pelletization rates but also tend to cause equipment blockages. For silage with moisture content exceeding 18%, we recommend appropriate drying treatment or mixing with dried materials. This ensures stable equipment operation and achieves optimal production results. We can provide rotary dryer machine and belt dryer machine to meet your raw material drying needs.
–
How to choose between a forage pelletizer and a feed pelletizer?
The most notable differences between the two are production capacity and suitable raw materials. A single forage pelletizer has a production capacity of 0.5–8 T/H. It is equipped with an anti-caking device and a forced feeding mechanism, making it suitable for pelletizing feed with high fiber content. If your silage makes up a significant portion of your feed and your production capacity requirements are modest, this equipment is a suitable choice.
Feed pelletizers have a production capacity of 1–40 T/H, making them suitable for industrial-scale production. They can handle most silage feeds as well as other feed formulations. By investing in this equipment, you can also use it to produce other types of animal feed. If you require high digestibility and absorption, this equipment can be configured with a double-layer conditioner. It is suitable for applications requiring stable output and high-efficiency production.
–
What pellet sizes can a silage feed pellet machine produce?
It can produce silage pellets with diameters ranging from 2 to 12 mm. We can provide you with ring dies of different pore sizes. By replacing the ring die, you can produce silage pellets of various diameters. Pellet length can be adjusted by changing the distance between the cutting blade and the ring die. Common pellet lengths range from about 10 to 30 mm. This pelletizer is easy to use, and its output meets the feeding needs of most animals. (View YouTube)

How to choose a silage pellet making machine?
You can select the appropriate pelletizer type based on your raw material characteristics. Then, determine your daily production goals and unit capacity to choose the right model. For feed requiring a high degree of maturation, a double-layer conditioner is also required. If you need to produce pellets of multiple diameters, you’ll need to configure ring dies with different pore sizes.
For large-scale production and high-quality feed requirements, we recommend choosing a production line solution. We will also provide the most suitable equipment solution based on your production needs and raw material characteristics. Please feel free to contact us to obtain your customized solution.
